The Underground Legion of the Qin Empire

The Underground Legion (兵马俑) of the Qin Empire was unearthed in Lintong (临潼), Xi'an. The site is near the mausoleum of Qin First-Emperor (秦始皇). Qin First-Emperor annexed other six states in 221 B.C., and died in 210 B.C. The grey pottery legion has followed their great emperor under the ground for more than two thousand and two hundred years. The figures of warriors and horses were made of grey pottery clay. Almost all official or unofficial articles which mention the underground legion call the figures "Terracotta Warriors". Such a name is wrong, because the figures were not made of terracotta clay.
