Inscriptions on Stone Drums

The stone drums were carved in the Qin (秦) State in the early days of the Warring-States Peiod. They were unearthed in modern-day Fengxiang (凤翔), Shaanxi Province in the early days of the Tang Dynasty. In the Warring-States Period, modern-day Fengxiang was named "Yong" (雍), and was the capital of the Qin State before 383 B.C..The style of inscriptions on the stone drums belongs to the Zhuan style (篆书) of Chinese characters.Now these stone drums are kept in the Palace Museum in Beijing. These photoes were taken in the Palace Museum.
