Xun -- One of the Oldest Musical Instruments
Xun is one of the oldest musical instruments of China, and generally it is made from pottery clay. In the ruins of the neolithic age over six thousand years ago, pottery Xun were unearthed.In Xi'an, there is a famous cultural market named "Academic Gate" (书院门) which is near the southern gate of the city-wall. There are many shops and booths which sell pottery Xun. In the square of the Dayan Pagoda (大雁塔), there are some booths which also sell pottery Xun.The following photoes were taken in a booth in the square of the Dayan Pagoda.
